Stillness, structured. The Mud Robe is cut from a lightweight linen-cotton blend in a deep charcoal grey — the color achieved through traditional mud dyeing, which builds tone through layers of earth mineral rather than chemical pigment. The surface carries a soft vertical crinkle: matte, dimensional, quietly textured. A single button holds the front. A self-tie belt defines the waist when you want it, or lets the robe fall open when you don’t.
Wear it belted as a statement coat over trousers and a tank. Wear it loose as a long cardigan at home. Throw it over the indigo henley on cool mornings. It does more than it looks like it should.
🧵 Craft & Construction
- 🌊 Color: Deep charcoal grey — rich, matte finish with subtle tonal variation from the mud dyeing process; no two pieces are identical
- 🪢 Fabric: Linen-cotton blend — softly crinkled surface with vertical texture; lightweight with natural drape and gentle movement
- 🌿 Dye: Traditional mud dye — mineral-based earth pigment; naturally antibacterial, develops subtle character with wear and washing
- 🪡 Neckline: Deep V-neck — open, elegant, falls naturally; frames the collarbone without being structured
- 🪔 Closure: Single front button — minimal, tonal, allows the lapel to fall open or close cleanly
- 🪴 Belt: Self-tie fabric sash — same fabric as body; tie loosely at waist or omit entirely for a full robe silhouette
- 📐 Silhouette: Relaxed straight cut — wide through shoulder and body, falls as a column; drop shoulder, generous sleeve
- ✂️ Sleeves: Full-length with clean hem — slightly wide cuff, no button, moves with the arm
- 🛍 Hem detail: Side vents — subtle slits at lower side seam allow natural movement and ease when walking
- 🍂 Length: Midi to ankle — hits below knee, approaches ankle depending on height; full coverage, dramatic in the best way
- 🌿 Season: All season — linen-cotton breathes in summer, layers in autumn; a coat that works in every direction
✨ “Earth-dyed. Air-worn.” — NatureNoble. Mud dyeing draws color from the mineral-rich earth — each layer of dye applied by hand, each piece finished with a color that is entirely its own. The vertical texture is not a print; it is the fabric itself.
