The Gambiered Canvas is a heavyweight pure cotton fine canvas railroad chore jacket, hand-dyed using shǔliàng (薯莨) — the ancient Chinese gambiered dyeing technique that layers river sediment and plant tannins to build colours of extraordinary depth. The result is a surface that looks geological: dark, complex, slightly crinkled, with the kind of quiet authority that only comes from something made slowly and by hand.
