The Onion Stripe is a heavyweight pure cotton oversized tee, hand-dyed using onion skin plant dye and accordion-fold tie-dye technique. The fabric is pleated in tight vertical folds and bound before dyeing, so the plant pigments penetrate the folded cloth in clean vertical resist lines — the result is a surface of soft, parallel stripes that shift between full-dye and natural cotton white, with tonal gradients at every edge. Each piece is folded, dyed, and finished by hand. The stripe placement, width, and tonal character vary between pieces.

• 🌊 Color: Four colorways available — Sand & Sage (soft sand-white and mint-grey), Olive Stripe (deep military olive and yellow-green), Amber Fold (warm caramel-gold tones), and Indigo Tide (deep navy-blue and teal-green); each colorway is produced using the same accordion-fold technique with different plant dye formulations; tonal variation between pieces within each colorway is inherent and expected
• 🪢 Fabric: Heavyweight pure cotton jersey — dense, substantial hand; clean matte surface; drapes with weight and body; softens with every wash while retaining structure
• 🌿 Dye: Onion skin plant dye + accordion-fold tie-dye (洋葱皮草木染手工扎染) — dried onion skins are simmered to extract a golden plant pigment rich in quercetin and flavonoid compounds; the cotton is mordanted with alum to fix the colour; fabric is then accordion-pleated in precise vertical folds and tightly bound with resist string before immersion dyeing; the string and folds resist the dye in clean vertical lines; after dyeing, the binding is removed and the pleats released to reveal the stripe pattern; each fold line is unique to how that particular piece of cloth was handled by the dyer
