The Gall Nut Cuban is heavyweight pure cotton in a linen-look weave, hand tie-dyed with gall nut (五倍子, wǔ bèi zǐ) — one of nature’s most powerful tannin sources, used in East Asian dyeing traditions for centuries. The result is a dense, multi-layered surface: deep olive, burnt umber, forest shadow, charcoal black — depending on the colorway, depending on the piece.
